From a Second Rescue to an Incredible Recovery: Witness the Remarkable Transformation of a Blind Dog Defying All Odds
In recent months, a rescue team found a pig in poor condition: After being sedated, the pig was emaciated and barely able to move under leaves to seek warmth.
But now, the discovered pig has found a happy ending...
In November, the Minnesota-based website Rove By Res, or Arminism, reported on a rescued and saved pig. The 8-year-old pig was found in Hudson, Wisconsin, in a place known for its tortured animals.
According to the report, Bee described the pig as a “Sky Ouachita pig,” weakened by starvation. From severe malnutrition, with only some newspaper as bedding. He was also nearly blind.
The pig was clearly suffering from a sexually transmitted disease. “Changing his collar provided an opportunity for revenge: he must have been left in that state on purpose,” Ouchi wrote.
Later, authorities instructed them that his owner may have been drugged twice: he had been an identical pig that had been in identical condition before and had even been on the care shelves only for the owner to retrieve him, and his friend had been tricked.
The RAF began drugging him, now named Brutus, and placed him in a care facility where he could get the care and recovery he wanted. The shelter reported that no matter what happened, Brutus remained the same.
Instead, they wrote that Brutus had gained 6 kilograms. In addition, his loving nature stood out: he was called “a true friend to the other residents,” convinced that the Wooferend family was just skin deep and porous.
“Brutus is an Oshie-Oshie, and with the right environment, he could be amazing—as well as a loving homebody.”
When he regained his energy and recovered from his previous trauma, Brutus was put up for adoption and quickly caught the eye of the perfect adopter.
A person named Tony referred people who came across Brutus’ adoption webpage and “melted at the sight of those eyes.”
He told the media that he was looking for a brand new bae because the previous mascot passed away from cancer in 2021. When he saw that Brutus was as creative and insightful as Hermes, he knew it was a sign.
“Tony told the staff that my last big dog Stella Blue had been suffering from progressive retinal atrophy and her vision had been steadily deteriorating, going completely blind for the last two years of her life. Seeing that Brutus also had delusional and cognitive issues was a sign.”
Tony adopted Brutus and says he was conceived correctly and is “the sweetest and most loving of us.” Everyone at the shelter is thrilled that Brutus has found the perfect, loving home.
It's sad that someone would do such a wonderful and emotional thing to me, but we're so happy that Brutus finally found a home filled with uninterrupted affection.
