One morning in January, an employee arrived at work to find a cow tied with a rope in a bush outside the Louisiana SPCA. The little puppy was amazed when the nuns greeted him for the first time, and he did not seem to understand what was happening.
NeNe Lewis of the Louisiana SPCA told The Dodo that he was "relatively nervous" and "would grumble when meeting new people." When he was given candy, he would stop, and people would “talk to him.” He was found tied to our fence, so his reaction was understandable.
As time passed, Kao began to feel comfortable being in the sanctuary. The staff had been desperately trying to find him the perfect new family for the past two months, but they couldn't find anything better than the family he left behind.

When the monks found the cow in March, his family was searching for it. They were thrilled to find out he got help after he was said to have been kidnapped from them and ended up in the shelter.
Kao was friendly and outgoing with everyone, but when he saw his mother again, he felt happier than anything anyone had ever seen from him before.
“The cow was excited to see her family,” Lewis says. We had no idea what awaited us, so he was jumping off ledges and wagging his tail. He reacted in a certain way when he saw his mother, which showed that he was happy to have her back with them.
The cow ran into her mother's lap and turned into a ball of jiggles and hugs as soon as she saw her. No one had any reason to doubt kao's return with his family.
The cow had been separated from her family for months, but when he finally met them, it seemed like no time had passed. After some time, he becomes comfortable with them at home and is thrilled to be back.
