A Rescue Dog Meets Her New Human Dad And Can’t Stop Hugging Him

While they were grieving, Maggie came into their lives and they knew they had to keep her.

Losing a dog is one of the most horrific experiences in life. Nothing can prepare you for this, nothing.

You spend so much time worrying about whether he had what he needed or whether you were the perfect person for him. Nothing can cure the pain of grief, but there are ways to ease it.

The McCro family was so happy to meet their new rescue dog that they were so happy to meet.

The McCro family had just been devastated after losing their beloved dog, Mishka, to cancer.

Maggie came into their lives when they were grieving, and they knew they had to keep her.

Halfway There Rescue arranged for them to meet in South Carolina, and their connection was so helpful.

“My heart melted,” McCro told The Dodo. “We had lost our other dog a few months before we met Maggie, so from my perspective, it was just a meet and greet. At the time, I didn’t think I was ready for a new dog.”

Marie and her husband Mark fell in love with the new dog immediately. When they first met, she showed all her charm, and they felt like they were meant to be together.

Maggie hugged her new human father all the time as a huge thank you for saving her.

Maggie had been abused by her previous owners, and her only goal was to breed, which shocked the McCroes. She was left alone once she was done.

She spent some time in the care of Andra Mack after her rescue, where she learned to trust people again.

Mac described her as “one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever had.” My husband and I stared at each other as Maggie met her new dad because we knew it was her. It was like something out of a movie.

But it was time for her to go to her forever home in South Carolina, and the McCroes were thrilled to have her.

Mac also noted their bond. She added that they were meant to be together. The ray of sunshine in the video makes me assume that their old dog, Mishka, was smiling at the meeting.

In times like these, we can thank these wonderful people for helping a dog in desperate need and promising to care for her. I wish them success in their new journeys.
